Ulugbek Rashidov named best male athlete of the year by WT

6112The World Taekwondo Federation (WT) announced the results of its 2024 athletes' and coaches' votes, naming Uzbekistan's Ulugbek Rashidov as the best male athlete of the year. Rashidov, a two-time Olympic champion and member of the national team of Uzbekistan, received this honor in recognition of his outstanding achievements.
The award ceremony took place on December 4 during the World Poomsae Championships in Hong Kong. Ulugbek Rashidov personally attended the event and accepted his award from Seo Jeongkang, Secretary General of the World Taekwondo Federation.
"This achievement marks another milestone for Uzbek taekwondo in the era of New Uzbekistan. Our athletes, who have delivered remarkable performances, continue to gain global recognition," stated the Uzbekistan Taekwondo WT Association.
