More than 1 billion soums of electricity is stolen in three regions

Electricity worth 1 billion 36 million 354 thousand soums was pilfered in three regions, as reported by the Ministry of Energy.

It is worth noting that responsible organizations identified cases of illegal electricity usage during their monitoring activities in the Syrdarya, Surkhandarya, and Fergana regions. Specifically:

• "I.T." in the Mirzaabad district of the Syrdarya region illegally connected a gas filling compressor station for cars owned by LLC, resulting in a loss of 783 million 516 thousand soums to the state's interests.
• "S.A.F," operating in the Termiz district of the Surkhandarya region, caused a loss of 133 million 920 thousand soums to the state's interests due to the incorrect connection of the electricity meter for a greenhouse belonging to LLC.
• An illegal connection to a livestock farm belonging to A.K. resulted in a loss of 118 million 918 thousand soums to the state's interests.

The total value of the stolen electricity amounted to 1 billion 36 million 354 thousand soums.

"The formal documents related to these incidents have been submitted to law enforcement agencies in accordance with established procedures," the ministry stated.

For reference, this amount of electricity is equivalent to the monthly consumption of 11,514 households.
