Today, June 28, a malfunction at a substation caused a power outage in four districts of Tashkent. The Tashkent City Main Electric Networks enterprise reported this.
It was noted that at 20:45, the L-O‘-Yu 110 kV-1 and 2 power transmission lines coming from the Yuksak substation in Tashkent were automatically shut down after the protection system was activated.
As a result, the Yurtim and Bunyodkor substations were completely de-energized, and power supply disruptions are being observed among consumers receiving electricity through these substations.
In particular, electricity supply has been interrupted in some areas of the capital’s Mirobod, Yakkasaroy, Chilonzor and Uchtepa districts.
“Special crews are currently working to identify and eliminate the causes of the malfunction. Measures are being taken to provide consumers with electricity through backup sources wherever possible. We apologize to consumers for the inconvenience caused,” the report said.
Due to the power outage, citizens became stranded on rides at Dream Park amusement park, located on Bunyodkor Avenue in Chilonzor district.
According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, rescue units promptly arrived at the scene and are currently working to safely bring all citizens down from the Ferris wheel.
It was reported that the situation has been fully brought under the control of the Tashkent City Emergency Situations Department. No one was injured in the incident.
Earlier, it was reported that power outages had also occurred in some areas of five districts of Tashkent.
