“Three Heroes” market burns: Current situation after the tragedy

On August 11, a fire broke out at the Three Heroes market in the Tashkent district of the Tashkent region. This was reported by the Ministry of Emergency Situations.  QALAMPIR.UZ correspondent went to the scene to learn more about the incident.

According to the report, at 02:22 pm, the regional Department of Emergency Situations received a call about the fire.

Following the emergency call, fire and rescue crews arrived at the scene at 02:29 and began extinguishing the flames. In total, 10 fire and rescue teams were involved in the operation.

While inspecting the market, which was still shrouded in smoke after the blaze, we came across the charred body of a dog. It was said to have belonged to the market guard and had been unable to escape the fire.

Business owners, traders, and witnesses gathered in small groups on the outskirts of the burnt-out market said the fire had started simultaneously in different corners of the market and might have been deliberately set. However, when approached for comments, they declined to speak, saying it was pointless.
