Uzbekistan dominates awards at U-17 Asian Cup in Saudi Arabia

On April 20, 2025, the U-17 Asian Cup in Saudi Arabia concluded with awards for the best goalkeeper, player, top scorer, and team of the tournament. Uzbekistan’s U-17 national team emerged as champions earlier in the day.
As for individual honors, the “Fair Play” award went to the host nation, Saudi Arabia. Uzbekistan’s goalkeeper Nematulloh Rustamjonov was named the tournament’s best goalkeeper. Fellow Uzbek player Asilbek Aliev earned the top scorer title, while Sadriddin Khasanov was recognized as the tournament’s best player.
Uzbekistan’s U-17 team defeated Saudi Arabia 2-0 in the final, securing the championship title. This marks Uzbekistan's second victory in the history of the U-17 Asian Cup.
