Three Uzbek citizens wanted for committing various crimes have been detained in Turkey, the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Istanbul reported.
According to the statement, as a result of a joint search operation conducted by the Ministries of Internal Affairs of Turkey and Uzbekistan, Shahista Rajapovna Mullaeva, who was wanted on charges of fraud, was detained and deported to Uzbekistan.
In addition, two other individuals — Kh. Barotov and S. Kholov — who were wanted on charges of tax evasion and committing crimes related to violations of customs legislation, were also detained and handed over to Uzbekistan’s investigative authorities.
Citizens who have suffered from the actions of these individuals are urged to contact the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan or its regional offices, as well as the Consulate General in Istanbul.
It is worth noting that earlier in Turkey, two people wanted for human trafficking were arrested.
