Now, it is reported that the deceased was stabbed in the back while strangling the woman, which does not exclude the possibility that he was stabbed by someone else. This was reported by the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Istanbul.
It is reported that the consulate was interviewed by the aunt of the suspect. According to her, it is true that an Uzbek citizen, S.T., was detained by law enforcement agencies as a suspect in this incident. According to preliminary information, the deceased Turkish citizen consumed alcohol and regularly exerted physical and psychological pressure on his Uzbek spouse. There were other people in the room at the time of the incident. According to the preliminary investigation, the deceased was stabbed in the back while strangling the woman. This does not exclude the possibility that she was stabbed by another person.
“The suspect is currently being provided with the necessary consular and legal assistance and a lawyer has been assigned to her. The situation is under control by the Consulate General,” the report says.
According to “Nefes Gazetesi,” the incident occurred on April 6 of this year at around 9:30 p.m. in an apartment on the third floor of a building in the Karliktepa neighborhood. It is said that a quarrel broke out between Uzbek citizen S.T. and Emre Erim, who had been married for 4 years, over financial reasons. The quarrel quickly turned into a fight. The woman, enraged by this, injured her husband Emre Erim with a kitchen knife. As a result, the man died from serious injuries. The body of the deceased was sent to the Institute of Forensic Medicine for an examination. During the work carried out by the police teams of the Kartal district, S.T., who tried to escape, was detained. Currently, an investigation is underway into the case.
