Turkish ambassador concludes his mission in Uzbekistan

1422Today, February 8, Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov met with the outgoing Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkey, Olgan Bekar, who is concluding his tenure in Uzbekistan. The minister announced this on his Telegram channel.
“We held a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkey to our country, Olgan Bekar. The brotherly ties established between our leaders create the strongest foundation for close cooperation in every field,” Saidov wrote.
The minister also expressed his gratitude to Olgan Bekar for his efforts in strengthening bilateral relations.
“We express our sincere gratitude to the Ambassador, who has made a great contribution to strengthening fraternal relations, and wish him success in his future endeavors,” he stated.
Olgan Bekar has been serving as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey to Uzbekistan since March 5, 2021.
It should be noted that on February 6, Olgan Bekar met with Tashkent Mayor Shavkat Umurzakov. During the meeting, the ambassador expressed his appreciation for the reception and informed the mayor that his diplomatic mission in Uzbekistan was coming to an end. He also shared his views on previously discussed matters, including the expansion of the Turkish School, naming a street in Tashkent after Turkey’s first President, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, and the establishment of a Turkish Park in the capital.
