Tulkin Kilichev named Asia’s best boxing coach of the year

Tulkin Kilichev, head coach of the Uzbek national boxing team, has been named the best coach of the year by the Asian Boxing Confederation, according to a report from the Olympic Committee.

The Confederation announced its year-end awards, recognizing three Uzbeks as the best in their respective categories across the continent. Kilichev, who previously won Uzbekistan’s "National Sports Award-2024" in the "Best Coach of the Year" category, was once again honored as the top coach in Asian boxing.

Additionally, Feruza Kazakova, the Asian champion in the U22 category, and Maftuna Yangiyeva, the junior continental champion, were recognized as the best in their age groups.

The Asian Boxing Confederation also extended special gratitude to the Uzbek national boxing team for representing the continent at the Paris 2024 Summer Olympics.

It is worth noting that Hasanboy Dusmatov, a prominent member of Uzbekistan’s national boxing team, was recently named Uzbekistan’s best male athlete of the year.
