New head appointed to “Toshshaharttranskhizmat” JSC

Aziz Majidovich Khojanov has been appointed as acting chairman of the board of “Toshshaharttranskhizmat” Joint Stock Company, the organization’s press service announced.

Prior to this appointment, Khojanov served as head of the Department of Executive Discipline and Control at the Ministry of Transport.

Until now, the company had been led by Sanjar Sattorov, who was appointed to the position in November 2024.

It is worth recalling that in February 2024, Anvar Juraev, then chairman of “Toshshaharttranskhizmat” JSC, was imprisoned. According to the State Security Service, urgent investigations in the transport sector uncovered multiple violations within the company. Juraev, in collusion with bus station branch managers, misappropriated spare parts and fuel, causing significant economic damage to state interests.

Recently, Juraev, who had been sentenced to 7.5 years in prison for embezzlement and abuse of office, was released. The incident prompted widespread public discussion, leading the Supreme Court to issue an official statement regarding the matter.
