Bobur Yuldoshovich Abubakirov has been appointed as the mayor of Shaykhontohur district in Tashkent, according to a report from the press service of the Tashkent city administration.
Abubakirov has served as the Deputy Chairman of the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan since 2019.
Born in 1983 in the Tashkent region, Abubakirov holds higher education qualifications. He graduated from the Tashkent State Institute of Oriental Studies in 2004 with a degree in International Economic Relations. In 2015, he earned a degree in International Economics from the International University of Japan.
In other news, Behzod Anvarovich Musaev, who was recently relieved of his position as Minister of Poverty Reduction and Employment, has been appointed head of the Foreign Labor Migration Agency.
