Fire breaks out in basement of multi-storey building in Tashkent

On January 24, a fire erupted in the basement of a multi-storey building in Tashkent, as reported by the city’s Emergency Situations Department.

According to the department, the incident occurred at 17:44 in the utility room located in the basement of a 7-storey building on Parkent Street in the "Oltintep" neighborhood of the Mirzo Ulugbek district. Fire and rescue units arrived promptly at the scene by 17:54. The fire was contained by 18:06 and fully extinguished at 18:16.

Fortunately, no deaths or injuries were reported. Authorities confirmed there was no gas leak at the site. Investigations are currently underway to determine the cause of the fire and assess the extent of the material damage.

It is worth noting that a similar incident recently occurred in the Shaykhantohur district of Tashkent, where a fire broke out in another multi-storey building. These incidents highlight the importance of fire safety and preventive measures in residential areas.
