Fire breaks out in an apartment building in Tashkent

A fire broke out today, August 12, in an apartment building on Rokhat Street, Abay, Bektemir District, Tashkent, the University of Emergency Situations reported.

The Emergency Situations Department received the report at 11:57. Three fire and rescue crews and two motor vehicles arrived at the scene at 12:06. The fire was fully extinguished within minutes, at 12:12.

According to preliminary information, 20 square meters of furniture and interior space in the apartment were damaged. No injuries have been reported. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

It is worth noting that yesterday, August 11, a fire occurred at the "Uch Heroz" market in the Tashkent district of the Tashkent region. A criminal case was opened under Part 2, Clause "b" of Article 259 of the Criminal Code of Uzbekistan (Violation of fire safety rules) and is being handled by the Investigation Department under the Tashkent Regional Internal Affairs Directorate.
