Part of Shota Rustaveli Street in Tashkent closed for repairs

As part of ongoing construction and repair work on Shota Rustaveli Street in Tashkent, traffic will be temporarily restricted on a section of the road, the capital’s administration reported.

The section between the intersection of Chopon Ota and Shota Rustaveli Streets (near the “Brotherhood Tombs” monument) and the intersection of Shota Rustaveli and Mirabad Streets (Grand Mir Hotel roundabout) is closed from August 24 to 31.

According to the Main Department of Capital Transport, the following temporary changes have been introduced to bus routes running through this area:

  •  Routes No. 12 and 45 will operate one-way via Babur, Small Ring Road, Kushbegi, Mukimiy, and Babur Streets.
  •  Route No. 18 will run via Mukimiy, Arnasoy, and Chopon Ota Streets.
  •  Route No. 33 will follow Chopon Ota, S. Sirojiddinov, Shokhjakhon, and Babur Streets.
  •  Route No. 126 will run via Shota Rustaveli, Chopon Ota, Bogy Bo‘ston, At-Termiziy, Orikzor, and Babur Streets.
  •  Routes No. 69 and 114 will travel along the Small Ring Road without passing through Bogy Bo‘ston and Chopon Ota Streets.
  •  Routes No. 38, 40, 57, and 58 will follow the Small Ring Road between the South Station and the Small Ring Road.
  •  Route No. 67 will operate two-way via Shakhrisabz, Oybek, Nukus, and Babur Streets.
  •  Routes No. 81 and 98 will operate via Yusuf Khos Hajib and Babur Streets.
  •  Routes No. 2, 80, 94, and 127 will be rerouted through the section of Mukimiy Street between Babur and Shota Rustaveli Streets.
  •  Route No. 135 will terminate at the “Mukimiy Street” stop on Mukimiy Street.
