A section of Yangi Uzbek Street in Tashkent will be temporarily closed for one month due to the construction of an underpass and ongoing development work near the “Yangi O'zbekiston” park. The announcement was made by the Mirzo Ulugbek district administration.
According to the report, from 07:00 on July 9 until August 9, vehicle traffic will be suspended on the section of Yangi Uzbek Street (approaching from the Tashkent region) that borders the park. During this period, traffic will be redirected to Milliy Bagh Street via the road running along the edge of the “Yangi Uzbekistan” park.
For reference, vehicle traffic on the Ahangaran Highway in the Yashnabad district was also temporarily suspended earlier, starting July 3, due to similar construction and repair works.
