An online auction recently allocated 86 locations in Tashkent for the organization of paid parking lots, raising 120 billion soums. The details were published on the "E-auction" portal.

A total of 22 participants submitted bids, with the auction extending over two hours. Ultimately, Balcomuz emerged as the winner with a final offer of 120.15 billion soums—nearly double the starting price of 57.2 billion soums.

The auctioned locations span a combined area of 262.8 thousand square meters, with a lease term of three years. Under the lease agreement, Balcomuz must invest at least $5 million in the first two years for infrastructure development, including installing parking meters, traffic management tools, and communication networks.

Additionally, at least 1/12 of the parking revenue will be directed to the Tashkent City Road and Transport Infrastructure Development Fund. The lessee is also tasked with ensuring the proper use of the parking lots in compliance with legal regulations.

Earlier, a resolution by the Tashkent City Governor established a tiered pricing system for paid parking, with five tariff zones. The most central and high-demand areas (Zone 1) charge 12,000 soums per hour, while the least congested areas (Zone 5) cost 5,000 soums per hour.
