Construction market in Tashkent temporarily closed over fire safety violations

Operations in Block 2 of the Stroy Gorod construction market in Tashkent have been temporarily suspended, the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported.
According to the ministry, on February 9 the Tashkent City Department of Emergency Situations inspected торговые buildings and premises at the construction market located in Uchtepa district.
During the inspection, serious violations of fire safety regulations were identified in Block 2. Operations in the block have been suspended until the violations are fully eliminated.
Earlier, on February 5, fire safety authorities conducted inspections of buildings in Tashkent that could host large numbers of people to ensure compliance with emergency and fire safety requirements.
