New oceanarium and business district projects announced in Tashkent

A new oceanarium will be constructed in Tashkent’s Yashnobod district. The announcement was made during President Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s review of tourism and development project presentations on April 14, 2025.

The oceanarium will occupy 20 hectares along the Chirchiq River and serve as a key tourist attraction. Adjacent to the oceanarium, a trade and hotel complex is planned, creating a total of 1,600 jobs.

Additionally, plans have been proposed for the development of a residential and business area in the Yakkasaroy district. The zone will feature multi-story housing, kindergartens, schools, sports and wellness facilities, as well as hotels and commercial offices.

President Mirziyoyev emphasized the importance of thoroughly addressing the legal, financial, and infrastructural aspects of these projects. He instructed officials to set clear deadlines and ensure quality and compliance throughout the execution process.
