Transformer at substation catches fire again in Tashkent

A fire broke out inside a substation in Olmazor district yesterday, July 8. The Tashkent City Department of Emergency Situations reported this.

It was noted that at 20:23, the Tashkent City Department of Emergency Situations received a report that a transformer was on fire inside a substation located on Kichik Halqa Yoli Street in Olmazor district, Tashkent city.

Accordingly, rescue vehicles arrived at the scene at 20:26. At the scene, it was found that a short circuit had occurred in high-voltage power cables.

It was noted that no reports of casualties had been received as a result of the incident.

It should be recalled that on June 1 this year, a fire also occurred at one of the substations in Olmazor district.

In addition, on June 28 this year, a power outage occurred in four districts of Tashkent due to a malfunction at a substation. As a result of the power outage, citizens were left stuck on rides at Dream Park, an amusement park located on Bunyodkor Avenue in Chilonzor district.

After that, a special commission was formed to investigate the causes of the power outage in Tashkent.
