Major drug bust in Tashkent. 38 kg of narcotics seized

A significant drug bust occurred in the Uchtepa district of Tashkent city, where authorities discovered a large quantity of narcotics stored in an apartment. This was reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

On September 27, officials searched a residence in the Okmachit neighborhood, belonging to a 62-year-old man with a previous criminal record. During the inspection, they found approximately 38 kg of cannabis and other narcotic substances. The haul included: 2 bushels of 10 kg of dried cannabis, 13 cans weighing a total of 13 kg, 3 boxes containing 12.2 kg, 2 bags holding 2 kg, and 700 grams in a black cellophane bag.


An additional 200 grams of narcotic drugs and 100 grams of marijuana are stored in several pieces of paper
The seized narcotics have been properly documented, and a criminal case has been initiated under Article 25 in conjunction with Article 273 of the Criminal Code, which pertains to the illegal preparation, acquisition, storage, and transfer of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances.

This incident follows a previous arrest in Jizzakh, where a man was found in possession of weapons and drugs.
