Massive drug bust in Tashkent: nearly 3 billion soums worth of drugs seized (video)

2138In a significant drug bust, the distribution of synthetic drugs worth 2.8 billion soums was prevented in the Parkent district of the Tashkent region, according to the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The operation was carried out by the Rapid Investigation Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the State Security Service of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Authorities detained a suspicious driver in Tashkent city, who was connected to the illegal trafficking of drugs. Upon stopping and inspecting the Damas vehicle he was driving in the Parkent district, 2 kg 160 g of synthetic drugs, valued at 2.8 billion soums, were discovered hidden in the car's "oven." The seizure prevented the illegal distribution of synthetic drugs, which could have been sold in 10,800 individual doses.
In a separate operation, the Ministry of Internal Affairs' Rapid Search Department, the State Security Service, and the Tashkent City Police Department detained three individuals in the Chilonzor district. The suspects were found transporting 3 kg of hashish in a Lacetti car using the "zaklad" method, a tactic used for secretive drug deliveries. Additionally, 3 kg of hashish were seized during the operation, involving the detention of seven individuals.
A similar operation was carried out in Andijan, where a 59-year-old man was arrested while attempting to sell 1 kg of hashish for 5,000 US dollars. In the Chilonzor district, a 24-year-old man was detained with 200 grams of hashish, which he was attempting to sell for 3,000 US dollars.
A criminal case has been initiated in connection with these incidents, and investigative actions are underway.
It is also worth noting that a 68-year-old individual, previously imprisoned for drug trafficking in the Urgut district of Samarkand region, was apprehended again for the same crime.
