Thermal energy and hot water tariffs to increase in Tashkent

3138Tariffs for thermal energy and hot water in Tashkent are set to rise by 15%, following a decision by the Tashkent City Council of People's Deputies on September 12.
Under the new rates, households will pay 121,617 soums per gigacalorie (Gcal) for heating and hot water services.
For legal entities, the tariff will also increase by 15%, reaching 244,497 soums per Gcal.
The implementation date for these new tariffs has not yet been disclosed.
It is worth noting that the last tariff increase for residents occurred in April this year, while legal entities saw a rise at the end of 2023. The services are provided by Veolia Energy Tashkent, with city residents currently paying only 14% of the basic tariff, as the remaining cost is subsidized by the city budget.
