1665In Tashkent, individuals involved in illegally organizing travel to the United States and Japan have been detained during a joint operation conducted by the State Security Service and the capital’s Main Department of Internal Affairs. This was reported by the Department for Combating Economic Crimes under the Prosecutor General's Office.
According to the report, in the Yunusabad district, a citizen identified as J.A. was caught in the act while receiving \$22,500. The money was taken in exchange for arranging visas for citizens Z.S. and D.S. to travel to the United States via Mexico and several European countries. The scheme was reportedly carried out in collaboration with his relative B.R., who resides in the US.
In a separate operation in the Bektemir district, another individual, S.N., was detained while receiving \$2,000 from citizens M.A. and H.T. He had promised to send them to work in Japan through personal connections.
It is worth noting that a similar case occurred earlier in Jizzakh, where an individual was arrested for promising to arrange employment in the US via Mexico.
