In Tashkent, special mobile environmental laboratories are operating in all districts under enhanced monitoring to provide continuous control of air quality. This was reported by the National Committee for Ecology and Climate Change.

According to the committee, air pollution in all districts of the capital is being monitored 24 hours a day using these mobile laboratories. The laboratories were established by the Analytical Monitoring Center specializing in environmental protection under the National Committee for Ecology and Climate Change. One of these laboratories monitors the area around the Turkiston Metro Station in Yunusabad district.

For reference, a rapid-response headquarters has been set up by the Ecology Committee to improve air quality. In cooperation with relevant organizations, the committee is implementing necessary measures to improve the environmental situation in the capital.

“The identified sources of pollution have been reported to the relevant organizations, and necessary measures are being taken,” the statement said.

It is worth noting that earlier, to improve air quality, the Tashkent Combined Heat and Power Plant in the Yakkasaroy district stopped using fuel oil.
