Previously, it was reported that a 55-year-old man had molested a 7-year-old girl on a train in Tashkent. Yesterday, on September 20, the accused was sentenced to 18 years in prison, as reported by the information service of the Tashkent City Courts.
It was reported that on September 20 of this year, the criminal case against X.A. was heard in the Mirabad district court for criminal cases, and the verdict was announced.
This criminal case was heard in a closed court session under the chairmanship of Shukhrat Baqoev, the chairman of the Mirzo Ulugbek District Court for Criminal Cases, in accordance with the requirements of Article 19 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (regarding open court proceedings for criminal cases).
According to the court's verdict, X.A. was found guilty of committing the crime under Article 119 of the Criminal Code (unnatural satisfaction of sexual desire by force) and was sentenced to 18 years in prison. It is also stipulated that the punishment will be served in a strict order colony.
"The parties can file a complaint and protest against the verdict of the first-instance court to the appellate instance of the Tashkent City Court within the procedure and time limit set by the law," the report states.
