Reports circulate on social media claiming that a 4th-grade girl at School No. 300 in Tashkent’s Sergeli district was beaten by five male classmates. The Tashkent city department of Preschool and School Education has commented on the incident.
Videos circulating online show a violent attack against a 9-year-old girl studying in the 4th grade. The footage depicts five boys chasing her from the fourth floor to the first. One boy punches her shoulder, another kicks her legs and waist, and a third jumps and hits her in the back. As a result, the girl falls to the ground. Afterward, the boys prevent her from leaving, and one of them jumps onto her chest, the area where the heart is located. The blow causes her to collapse again.
The Ministry of Preschool and School Education has taken the case under control, and a special working group has conducted an investigation. According to the findings, the incident occurred on September 20. After class, a dispute between a 4th-grade student, I.A. (a girl), and several male classmates escalated into a fight. The school administration immediately informed the area’s preventive inspector and the school-assigned psychologist about the situation.
Based on the investigation results, the parents of the students involved in the conflict, I.A. and E.J., were held administratively liable under Article 47 of the Administrative Responsibility Code (’’Failure to fulfill obligations regarding the upbringing and education of children’’).
’’To prevent such cases in the future, a meeting with parents was held, awareness work was carried out, and disciplinary measures were taken against the school principal and responsible staff,’’ the report stated.
It is worth noting that earlier, a teacher in Almalyk had marked the students’ foreheads with the grade ’’2.’’
