Gas theft worth 316 million soums detected in Tashkent 

In the Yunusobod district of Tashkent, authorities uncovered the illegal use of natural gas amounting to 316.5 million soums. This was reported by "Uzenergoinspeksia" following a recent inspection.

The inspection, carried out by the Tashkent regional department of Uzenergoinspektsia, revealed that a citizen, identified as M.Kh., had unlawfully used natural gas in a multi-story residential building. The gas was reportedly consumed through two dual-circuit heating devices installed in the non-residential part of the building. This usage occurred without any formal contract with the gas supply company.

Preliminary estimates indicate that the unauthorized gas consumption resulted in damage to state interests valued at 316.5 million soums.

Authorities have compiled the necessary documentation regarding the case and forwarded it to law enforcement agencies for further investigation.

It is worth noting that this is not an isolated incident. Previously, an illegal gas usage case involving a mineral fertilizer production plant in the Tashkent region resulted in losses of 8.7 billion soums.
