The Ministry of Energy's press service reported that the methane refueling station illegally utilized 37 billion 534 million soums worth of natural gas in the Tashkent region.

During a recent inspection on February 17, conducted by "Ozenergoinspektsiya" under the Ministry, in collaboration with the General Prosecutor's Office, other law enforcement agencies, and gas supply company experts, unauthorized natural gas usage was uncovered at a gas filling compressor station for vehicles in the Tashkent region.

Specifically, at the O.P.P. station in the Ohangaron district, owned by LLC, upon inspecting the gas pipeline connected to gas filling compressor stations (AGTKSH), it was discovered that an additional network was being constructed and illicitly utilizing natural gas.

Preliminary estimates indicate that the damage to state interests amounted to 37 billion 534 million soums (equivalent to 25 million 23 thousand cubic meters of natural gas).

Necessary documents have been prepared and forwarded to law enforcement agencies to take action against the offending consumer as per regulations.

It's worth noting that due to decreased air temperatures in Uzbekistan's regions, resulting in reduced pressure in main gas pipelines, temporary restrictions have been imposed on the operation of gas filling compressor stations for vehicles.
