New deputy mayor appointed in Tashkent

Obidjon Muminov has been appointed as Deputy Mayor of Tashkent and head of the Main Department of Housing and Utilities, according to the city administration’s press service.
He was born in 1987 in Navoi Region. He graduated from Navoi State Pedagogical Institute in 2013 and, in 2024, completed a master’s degree at the Higher School of Public Administration of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration.
Prior to his appointment, Obidjon Muminov worked at the Ministry of Construction and Housing and Communal Services of Uzbekistan, where he headed the department responsible for coordinating the management and operation of multi-apartment housing stock and overseeing renovation projects.
It is worth noting that earlier, Mohira Shukurullayeva was appointed prosecutor of the Yangihayot district in Tashkent.
