Offenders who blew up a fire extinguisher in the center of Tashkent have been convicted

As it was reported earlier, on 1 January of the current year, in front of the shopping mall «Samarkand Darvoza» in Tashkent, a group of residents blew up a handmade fire extinguisher with the intention of celebrating the New Year.  As a result, three people who filmed the situation, were injured.  Thirteen people were accused and arrested in connection with the incident.

The Shaikhantahur District Court has considered a criminal case against eight people.  This was reported by the press service of the Supreme Court.

According to the outcomes of investigations, eight people conspired to commit the crime of illegal manufacture, storage, transportation, and use of pyrotechnics.

"I broke four fingers and one finger was removed.  Now, in the next surgery, nerves will be connected to a tendon.  I was treated for 55 days.  One of the defendants provided material assistance.  I have no complaints against anyone.  The decision is a matter for the court," – one of the victims said.

The court sentenced five defendants to four years' imprisonment and three to four years' imprisonment.
