“Taliban” delegation arrives in Tashkent

7713Today, February 22, a delegation led by Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs in the Taliban's interim government, arrived in Tashkent. This was reported by "Radio Television of Afghanistan".
The delegation was welcomed at Tashkent International Airport by Uzbekistan’s Deputy Prime Minister Jamshid Khujaev, Special Representative of the President for Afghanistan Ismatulla Ergashev, and Taliban Ambassador to Uzbekistan Sheikh Abdugaffar Bahr.
The visiting delegation includes Taliban officials overseeing customs, transport, aviation, and agriculture. Upon arrival, Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar commenced negotiations with Deputy Prime Minister Jamshid Khujaev.
It should be noted that the two-day visit aims to strengthen political, economic, trade, and transit ties between Afghanistan and Uzbekistan, as well as to attract Uzbek investment to Afghanistan.
