On April 20, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received Denis Manturov, First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, who is leading the Russian delegation participating in the “INNOPROM. Central Asia” international industrial exhibition currently taking place in Tashkent, the presidential press service reported.

The meeting was also attended by representatives from the republics of Tatarstan and Bashkortostan, as well as officials from the Leningrad, Kirov, Irkutsk, and Omsk regions, along with executives of several leading Russian companies.

At the beginning of the talks, the high-ranking guest conveyed greetings and best wishes from Russian President Vladimir Putin to the Uzbek leader.

President Mirziyoyev commended the successful organization of the sixth INNOPROM exhibition, which brought together more than 10,000 business representatives from 35 countries.

The sides discussed the implementation of agreements reached at the highest level, primarily in the trade and economic sphere.

It was noted with satisfaction that trade turnover continues to grow steadily, while joint projects in industry, peaceful nuclear energy, energy, transport, metallurgy, and the chemical sector are being successfully implemented.

The importance of adopting coordinated measures to maintain trade dynamics and accelerate cooperation projects in priority sectors, including within industrial zones, was emphasized, along with the need to continue active engagement at the regional and business levels.

Plans in promising areas such as agricultural machinery, energy efficiency, water management, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence received support.

Special attention was given to training engineering personnel for key sectors of the economy based on joint technical higher education institutions.

During the meeting, leaders of Russian regions and companies also presented specific plans for the implementation of new projects across various sectors.

It is worth noting that a few days earlier, President Mirziyoyev also received a delegation led by Sergey Kiriyenko, First Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation.
