After daughter’s death from electric shock, woman fatally stabs husband

Earlier, an 11-year-old girl died from an electric shock in the Mirabad district of Tashkent city. Following this incident, the girl’s mother fatally stabbed her husband. This was confirmed to QALAMPIR.UZ by Hayot Shamsutdinov, press secretary of the Prosecutor General’s Office.
It was stated that a criminal case has been initiated against the woman under Part 1 of Article 97 (premeditated murder) of the Criminal Code. She has been detained in accordance with Article 221 (grounds for detention) of the Criminal Procedure Code. Investigative measures are currently underway.
On May 30 of this year, at around 18:00, N.A., born in 2014, climbed to the roof of a shop on Amir Temur Street in the Mirabad district using a ladder to retrieve her younger brother’s toy. While climbing down, she came into contact with an electric wire near the rooftop and died on the spot from electrocution. In connection with this incident, a criminal case was opened under part 2, paragraph ’’a’’ of Article 257 (violation of labor protection rules) of the Criminal Code. Investigations are ongoing.
It is worth noting that earlier, a woman fatally stabbed her 7-year-old daughter in the Sergeli district of Tashkent. The Prosecutor General’s Office later confirmed this information.
