13308As per the decree issued by the President of Uzbekistan, Shuhrat Muhamadjanovich Sodiqov has been designated as the head of the Prime Minister's Secretariat. This information was conveyed by Bekzod Hidoyatov, the press secretary of the Prime Minister.
Shuhrat Sodiqov, born in 1969, holds degrees from Jizzakh State Pedagogical Institute, Tashkent University of Information Technologies, and the State and Society Building Academy under the President of Uzbekistan.
On March 25, 2010, he assumed the role of head of the Information and Analysis Department of Information Systems and Telecommunications at the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan. From August 1, 2017, he served as the director of the National Project Management Agency under the President. Since August 8, 2018, he has held the position of Minister of Development of Information Technologies and Communications.
By the presidential decree dated November 4, 2021, he was relieved of his duties as Minister of Information Technologies and Communications Development following a dispute over the blocking of social media platforms within the nation. On February 15, 2023, he was appointed as the deputy head of the Prime Minister's Secretariat in Uzbekistan.
It's worth noting that Abdurashid Joraboev, who previously served as the head of the Prime Minister's Secretariat, has been appointed as the chairman of the national television and radio company of Uzbekistan.
