Duty energy workers assigned to mosques hosting Tarawih prayers

Duty energy workers have been assigned to mosques in Uzbekistan where Tarawih prayers will be held during the month of Ramadan, the Ministry of Energy reported.
According to the statement, the ministry held a meeting dedicated to ensuring the uninterrupted and stable supply of energy resources to consumers. The meeting was attended by Energy Minister Jurabek Mirzamakhmudov, Deputy Prosecutor General Salom Samadov, and the heads of Uzenergoinspektsiya and all joint-stock companies in the fuel and energy sector.
Preparations for the holy month of Ramadan were discussed at the meeting, and several measures were approved.
Necessary steps have been taken to ensure the reliable operation of primary and auxiliary equipment at fuel and energy facilities, as well as the uninterrupted supply of energy resources to households and wholesale consumers.
To ensure stable electricity supply at more than 2,000 mosques, distribution networks have been fully inspected and identified shortcomings have been устранены.
To guarantee uninterrupted power supply for mosques hosting Tarawih prayers, one duty energy worker has been assigned to each mosque. In addition, measures will be taken to install diesel generators when necessary.
A duty schedule involving 2,547 engineering and technical staff has also been organized at these mosques. In addition, 210 rapid emergency response teams have been formed and equipped with 250 vehicles and special equipment.
Earlier, it was reported that Khatm al-Qur’an events will be held in 1,762 mosques across Uzbekistan during Ramadan.
