Tanzila Norboyeva meets with Rahmon in Dushanbe

3245At the invitation of the Parliament of Tajikistan, a delegation from the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan arrived in Dushanbe to participate in the International Parliamentary Conference marking the 30th anniversary of the adoption of Tajikistan’s Constitution, according to the press service of the Oliy Majlis Senate.
The conference brings together parliamentary leaders from Central Asian countries, the Russian Federation, Iran, Belarus, Azerbaijan, and Armenia.
Ahead of the conference, Tajik President Emomali Rahmon welcomed the heads of the visiting delegations. The conference is set to begin tomorrow, October 12.
Earlier, the Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, Tanzila Norboyeva, met with United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres in New York. The two discussed the current state and future prospects of cooperation between Uzbekistan and the UN and its specialized agencies.
