The vice-rector who insults the student's mother is dismissed

Earlier, we reported a quarrel involving the vice-rector of the National University of Uzbekistan and a woman. Following this incident, the vice-rector was temporarily relieved of his duties, as announced by the university's press service.

It is worth noting that the quarrel between them occurred in the first ten days of September this year. The petitioner visited the vice-rector's office, explaining that her child had been enrolled in the evening section of the 1st year at the Faculty of Geology. She requested student accommodation and employment opportunities for her child.

The vice-rector informed the petitioner that there was a shortage of dormitory space for evening education students, and available places were allocated to students in the daytime education program.

"The petitioner did not want to understand and insisted on a job for her daughter. The vice-rector provided the necessary recommendations, stating that they would explore employment options if an opportunity arose. The woman demanded that the university resolve the matter for her daughter. When her demands were not entirely met, she insulted the university management and the vice-rector as she left. The vice-rector, in turn, responded with inappropriate language, further escalating the situation.

According to the university's press service, this incident was captured by the petitioner, and the portion alleging that "the vice-rector insulted the petitioner" was circulated. Several individuals, including the vice-rector's secretary, the chairwoman of the university's women's committee, and reception attendees, witnessed the incident.

"In light of this incident involving the university's vice-rector, an official investigation is underway to reach a fair resolution. Pending a full investigation and a legal assessment of the situation, the vice-rector featured in the video has been temporarily relieved of his duties, with another responsible vice-rector taking over his responsibilities," the report states.

Following a thorough investigation, a final decision will be made regarding potential organizational, disciplinary, or administrative actions against the vice-rector."
