“Takhtakoracha” pass reopens after tragic rockfall incident

2762Traffic on the "Takhtakoracha" pass in the Kitab district of the Kashkadarya region has been fully restored. The Road Safety Service announced this on December 5.
"Currently, traffic on the pass has been fully restored," the report stated.
The restoration follows a tragic incident when a large rock fell onto a Cobalt car traveling on the pass, resulting in three fatalities. Among the victims, two were identified as Hungarian citizens, as confirmed by the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Hungary.
In the aftermath of the incident, authorities announced a practical training exercise on the pass to prevent similar emergencies in the future.
