Good news: quintuplets born in Andijan

On July 6, quintuplets were born at Maternity Complex No. 2 in Andijan city. Furqat Sanayev, spokesperson for the Ministry of Health, announced this.

According to him, Nargiza Bekjonova, a resident of the Qayrag‘ochtosh mahalla in Andijan city, was admitted today, July 6, to Maternity Facility No. 2 with a diagnosis of multiple pregnancy.

She underwent a cesarean section after being diagnosed with preterm labor. The delivery was successfully carried out by qualified obstetrician-gynecologists, neonatologists and resuscitation specialists.

It was reported that:

  • the first baby is a girl weighing 1,450 grams;
  • the second baby is a boy weighing 1,605 grams;
  • the third baby is a girl weighing 1,495 grams;
  • the fourth baby is a boy weighing 1,585 grams;
  • the fifth baby is a girl weighing 1,205 grams.

In order to provide specialized medical care, the mother and babies were transferred to the Andijan regional branch of the Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Center for Maternal and Child Health.

It was reported that all five babies and their mother are currently feeling well under the supervision of qualified medical staff.

Earlier, it was reported that quadruplets had been born in the family of an employee of the Tashkent Regional Main Department of Internal Affairs.
