Zakir Eshpulatov appointed as Deputy Minister of Water Management

4978In line with a presidential decree, Zakir Eshpulatov has been appointed as the Deputy Minister of Water Management of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Director of the Agency for the Operation of Water Management Facilities. The Ministry of Water Management’s press service confirmed the news.
Prior to this role, Eshpulatov served as the chief specialist of the Secretariat for Investment, Export, Trade, Agriculture, and Water Management under the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan. His extensive experience in these sectors is expected to contribute significantly to his new responsibilities.
Under Cabinet of Ministers’ Resolution No. 645, dated October 7, 2024, the Deputy Minister and Director of the Water Management Agency is tasked with a broad range of responsibilities. These include coordinating the activities of subordinate organizations within the ministry, ensuring efficient water supply and utilization in accordance with approved water intake limits and distribution schedules, and regulating the operation of pumping stations. Additionally, the role involves implementing measures to reduce electricity consumption and providing methodological and practical support in water resource management and accounting for district "Water Supply Services" within state institution territories.
