New Deputy Ministers appointed to Ministry of Water Resources

The First Deputy Minister and Deputy Minister of Water Resources of Uzbekistan have been appointed. The corresponding presidential decrees were signed on October 15.

According to the decrees, Zokir Eshqurbonovich Eshpulatov has been appointed as First Deputy Minister of Water Resources and Director of the Agency for Operation of Water Management Facilities. Mirolimjon Karimjon ogli Karimov has been appointed as Deputy Minister.

Zokir Eshpulatov was born on June 24, 1983, in the Termiz district of the Surkhandarya region. He holds a higher education degree in hydraulic engineering. In 2005, he graduated with a bachelor’s degree from the Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Melioration, and in 2009, he completed his master’s degree at the same institute. He holds a PhD in Technical Sciences.

He began his career in 2005 as a First-Class Specialist at the Hydrogeological Melioration Expedition under the Amu-Surkhan Irrigation Systems Basin Administration. From 2008 to 2012, he worked at the Central Technological and Dispatching Service of the Ministry of Agriculture and Water Resources of the Republic of Uzbekistan as a First-Class Specialist-Dispatcher, Senior Specialist, and Head of Department. Between 2012 and 2018, he served as a Senior Specialist of the Water Resources Balance and Water-Saving Technologies Development Department and later as Head of the Department for the Organization and Rational Use of Water Resources at the Ministry of Agriculture and Water Resources. From 2018 to 2022, he headed the Water-Saving Technologies Implementation Sector, the Water Resources Department, and the Department for Water Resources and Water Use Management at the Ministry of Water Resources. Between 2022 and 2023, he served as Director of the Information-Analytical and Resource Center of the Ministry of Water Resources of the Republic of Uzbekistan. From 2023 to 2025, he worked as a Senior Specialist at the Cabinet of Ministers.

Mirolimjon Karimov was born on January 3, 1977, in the Beshariq district of the Fergana region. He holds a higher education degree in public finance management. In 2000, he graduated with a bachelor's degree from the Tashkent State University of Economics, and in 2002, he completed his master’s studies at the same university. He began his career in 1993 as an expedition worker at the ’’Navbahor’’ wholesale trade base in Beshariq district. From 2002 to 2005, he worked as an assistant lecturer at the Department of Economic Theory at the Tashkent State University of Economics. Between 2005 and 2007, he worked in the private sector; from 2007 to 2008, at the Kokand branch of Halk Bank; from 2008 to 2010, at the Kokand City State Tax Inspectorate; and from 2010 to 2017, he served in various positions at the State Tax Committee.

In 2017, he was appointed Deputy Head of the Department at the Main Directorate of the State Budget of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan. From 2017 to 2021, he worked as a Lead and Chief Inspector at the Accounts Chamber of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Between 2021 and 2023, he served as Deputy Head of the Economics and Planning Department and later as Head of the Oil Products Logistics Department at ’’Uzbekneftgaz’’ JSC. From 2023 to 2025, he worked as Chief Inspector and Division Head at the Accounts Chamber of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

It should be noted that earlier, a new prosecutor was appointed for the Shaykhontokhur district.
