In the Surkhandarya region, a court has handed down sentences to a father and son, along with their two accomplices, for selling cars illegally under installment payment conditions. Aziz Obidov, press secretary of the Supreme Court, reported this.

The 58-year-old resident of Termiz, in collusion with his son and two other individuals, engaged in illegal car sales. They acquired vehicles from a third party without proper documentation and without paying the required fees.

Specifically, the group purchased several Cobalt and Lacetti cars from a Tashkent resident on an installment basis. However, they did not pay for the cars and subsequently sold three of them to third parties for 56, 44, and 46 million soums, respectively.

It is noted that the 58-year-old gang leader had been tried three times previously.

According to the court verdict, the gang leader was sentenced to six and a half years in prison, his son to four years, and the third accomplice to three years. The fourth individual was sentenced to three years of correctional labor and was released from the courtroom.
