Two Pedestrians Hit by Drunk Driver in Surkhandarya

The Road Safety Press Service of the Regional Internal Affairs Department reported that a resident of the Sariosia district of Surkhandarya region was driving a truck while intoxicated and hit 2 pedestrians. As a result, one of the pedestrians died.
The incident occurred yesterday, 5th of May at 15:30 p.m. in the Saryosi district. The driver, a resident in this district, born in 1997 was driving in the "Kelajak Sari" neighborhood, when he struck two pedestrian who were crossing the local road. The citizens, M.Q, and Z.T, were admitted to the district emergency department.
Tragically, M,Q., a citizen born in 1979 had suffered severe injuries and died.
A criminal case has been initiated by the Investigative Group of the Internal Affairs Department of the Saryosi District, and the preliminary investigation is currently underway.
