Prosecutor appointed as new Chairman of the State Tax Committee

Farrukh Polatov has been appointed Chairman of the State Tax Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Presidential Press Secretary Sherzod Asadov reported.

By presidential decree, Farrukh Jahongirovich Polatov was appointed to lead the State Tax Committee and, in connection with this, was relieved of his duties as Director of the Cadastre Agency under the Ministry of Economy and Finance.

Farrukh Polatov was born in 1979 in the Fergana region. He graduated from Fergana Polytechnic Institute in 2001 and from Tashkent State University of Law in 2010. Since 2001, he has held various positions in the prosecutor’s offices of Fergana and Namangan regions. He served as head of the Fergana Department of the Tax, Currency, and Criminal Income Legalization Crimes Department under the General Prosecutor’s Office (now the Department for Combating Economic Crimes).

From July 2018 to March 2022, Polatov was Chairman of the management board of “Uzdonmahsulot” Joint-Stock Company. Since March 29, 2022, he has led the Cadastre Agency under the State Tax Committee.

Previously, Sherzod Davlatovich Qudbiyev, who had served as Chairman of the State Tax Committee since August 2023, was relieved of his duties and appointed as head of the newly established National Committee for Urbanization and Sustainable Housing Market Development.
