Action taken against woman who beat teacher in Syrdarya  (video)

A female student who assaulted a teacher in front of students at School No. 1 in Syrdarya district has faced consequences. The Ministry of Preschool and School Education provided details on the incident, which sparked public outrage.  

According to the ministry, the incident resulted from a conflict caused by the teacher's rude behavior. It was thoroughly investigated by the regional Department of Preschool and School Education and law enforcement agencies, leading to appropriate measures being taken.  

“The Ministry of Preschool and School Education strongly condemns such actions and maintains an uncompromising stance against them,” the statement read.  

Under Uzbekistan’s Law “On the Status of a Teacher,” teachers’ rights, honor, dignity, and professional reputation are protected by the state, and legal consequences are outlined for unlawful interference in their professional duties.  

Earlier, in a separate incident in Khorezm, a mother assaulted a teacher in front of students. She was found guilty of hooliganism under Part 2, Subparagraph “a” of Article 277 of the Criminal Code and was sentenced to two years of restricted liberty.
