La Liga club is interested in Shomurodov

The Spanish club “Girona” is interested in the 28-year-old forward of the Uzbekistan national team Eldor Shomurodov.  “Sport Express” reported about it.

It was reported that the team has opened the transfer doors for Shomurodov, who is no longer needed by the Italian club “Roma”.  So far, famous clubs such as “Lecce”, “Rostov”, “Torino” and “Galatasaray” have shown interest in the player.

According to the source, the Spanish club “Girona” has recently joined the fight for the transfer of the forward.  “Roma” is ready to sell Shomurodov to any team that is ready to rent him with the obligation to buy, but it is difficult for clubs that are somewhat “poor” from the financial side to make a final decision.  Because the striker’s salary is 1.5 million euros.

For information, in 2015-2017, Eldor played in the “Bunyodkor” club of Tashkent.  Later, the player defended the honor of the Russian club “Rostov” for three years and joined the Italian team “Genoa” in 2020.

Also, Shomurodov spent one year in “Genoa” in “Roma” and the second half of the 2022/2023 season on loan in “Spetsiya” club.  At the end of the season, the athlete will return to Rome.  Shomurodov’s current contract with the “Wolves” is valid until June 30, 2026.
