Eldor Shomurodov writes farewell note to Roma fans and club

Earlier, it was reported that Uzbek striker Eldor Shomurodov had moved from Italian club Roma to Turkish side Istanbul Basaksehir. Following the transfer, Shomurodov expressed his gratitude and said farewell to Roma in a heartfelt message on his Instagram page.
“Thank you, Roma. Now it’s time to say goodbye to Roma — this club gave me unforgettable memories, goals, struggles, and special moments with a wonderful team, coaches, and fans. It was an honor for me to wear the Roma jersey. I am grateful for every minute, every goal, and every lesson learned. Roma will always be in my heart. Thank you for your trust in me and for your constant support.
A new page is opening, but these memories will stay with me forever. With respect and love, Eldor Shomurodov,” the striker wrote.
As previously reported, Shomurodov has joined Istanbul Basaksehir on loan until the end of the 2025–2026 season, with an option for the Turkish club to buy. Over 2.5 seasons with Roma, he made 85 appearances, scored 13 goals, provided 11 assists, and was part of the squad that won the UEFA Europa Conference League.
