Case against Shohjakhon Jorayev was brought to court

Earlier, it was reported that the singer Shohjakhon Jorayev was accused of insulting his ex-wife, leading to a criminal case under Article 140 (Insult) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Now, this case has reached court. Zokirjon Qoziboyev, press secretary of the Tashkent City Courts, informed QALAMPIR.UZ about this development.
According to the decision of the Yashnobod District Court on February 7, 2023, Shohjakhon Jorayev was found guilty of an offense under Article 41 (Insult) of the Code of Administrative Responsibility and was fined 1.5 million soums. However, shortly after, on March 15 of the same year, the singer sent a voice message via Telegram to his ex-wife, again insulting her honor and dignity.
Furthermore, Jorayev persisted in similar actions, visiting the apartment building where his ex-husband resides on December 12, 2023, and insulting him there.
"This case was referred to the judge of the Chilonzor district for criminal cases. Since the incident occurred in Mirzo Ulugbek, the judge requested that the case be transferred to the Mirzo Ulugbek district court," said Zokirjon Qoziboyev.
