Is Shahjakhan Ergashev Out of the Championship Fight?

Puerto Rico's Sabriel Matias, the current holder of the IBF belt in the super lightweight category, is set to defend his title against a former world champion.  Matias took to his Instagram page to announce this exciting news.

"Hello everyone, I am pleased to share that I will soon be defending my title against a former world champion," Matias stated.

Just to provide some background, Matias has participated in 20 professional boxing matches, boasting an impressive record of 19 wins and only 1 loss.  In his most recent bout, the Puerto Rican boxer emerged victorious against Jeremiah Ponce from Argentina.

It's worth noting that earlier reports indicated that Uzbekistani professional boxer Shahjahan Ergashev was slated to face Matias for the IBF championship belt.  However, none of the top-15 ranked boxers were willing to step into the ring with Ergashev.
