Kazakh mixed martial artist Shavkat Rahmonov mocked American Joaquin Buckley.
Buckley mentioned Rahmonov as a potential opponent. Joaquin challenged Conor McGregor to a fight after his victory over Uzbekistan's Nursultan Roziboyev in a tournament in St. Louis. Later, Joaquin also challenged the Brazilian Gilbert Burns.
"When I heard you wanted to fight Conor, I thought you were crazy, but this time you are really out of your mind," Rahmonov said.
On December 16, 2023, Rahmonov defeated American Stephen Thompson by choke at UFC 296. The Kazakh athlete's MMA record is currently 18-0. Buckley, 30 years old, has had 25 fights in MMA, with 19 wins and 6 losses.
